Does anyone know if the upside down backs of the cards in 2022 Topps are consistent to where every card produced of the upside down cards are all the same? What's strange is I opened a blaster and all the cards faced the same way. But I just opened 2 rack packs and I have a lot of cards that are upside down. I haven't yet added the rack pack cards to my physical collection to check any duplicates. I figure they are all consistent and there aren't some cards that have an upside down and also a normal back?

ive noticed that as well. Only topps really knows the answer to that. Happened with 2021 set as well.

Should the upside down backs be catalogued so that we can track if there are any printed right side up? This did happen with 2020 Topps Update and 2021 Topps Update and now 2022 Topps Series 1. I didn't notice this in 2020 or 2021 Series 1 or 2.

I only have about 1/3 of the set, but the flipped backs I have are 13, 54, 77, 118, 153, 171, 286, 312. If we can get a full list on this thread, someone could propose adding this list to the set notes. We would need to come up with a standard name to call these as well.

Has anyone read anything about this? Out of the 84 cards I have, 21 of them are flipped backs. Including all of the ones Tscastle listed. (I don't have 118, but all the others).

I have about 850 cards from this set. I went through all of them and all the ones that are upside down are consistently upside down. I don't believe any of the upside down cards have VARs that are printed right side up.

I think when they were showing off the sheets that there were rows of cards that were alternately right-side up, and upside-down, one after the other. It's possible that the backs were all printed facing the same way, and that could be the reason why some cards have "flipped backs."

Thanks for the info. When I ended up adding those cards to my collection, all of my duplicates also ended up facing the same way consistently.

I hate when they do that. In recent years it seems like they just don't care and if it happens it happens. Gets very frustrating when displaying in binders only 1 card per pocket to see the backs.

If anyone is working on a list of these, I found one that hasn't been mentioned yet. Card #177 Carson Kelly.
