The first card I got out of a Wal-Mart blaster from Florida. The second card I got from a Wal-Mart blaster from Michigan. Neither one has any seriel numbers. My question is are both of these Royal Blue Parrallel or are they different parrallels? If you notice the blue coloring is noticably darker on one. I also have a second one of the darker shade from another Michigan blaster.

I have seen that as well in what I purchased. I don't have the certain answer but I believe these are both the Royal Blue parallel but there is a big difference in the shading.

I recently received a couple from packs bought at Meijer's store. I could not understand why they were listed as Walmart exclusives unless it was something different. Mine are the more royal blue like on the left above.

I removed the Walmart note from the Release notes and replaced it with 'Retail' for the Royal Blue parallel set. I also received several from Meijer. Meijer used to have a purple exclusive parallel. Walmart had a light or pale blue parallel, Walgreens used to have a yellow parallel and I think even Target had a colored parallel. I'm guessing it is just bad production from Topps. I have not yet seen a purple or yellow parallel yet, so I'm not sure if Meijer or Walgreens will get their own colored parallel. I did notice the Topps Opening Day packs say 'MADE IN MEXICO' on them, but I didn't see that on the Series 1 packs.

Thanks for posing the question and for taking care of the note. I was wondering the same thing as I have both shades and got them from the same Walmart, different blasters though. Must be just poor qc from topps.

How are you so sure? There isn't a blue parallel listed in the database?

I don't think Walmart is the answer. I got both versions from hanger boxes at Target.

Target had a red parellel. Walmart " blue" and Target "red" were supposed to be exclusive to each store respectively.

Ryan Cracknell from Beckett had a tweet that he reached out to Topps and confirmed that there is not dark blue vs light blue parallel just a blue parallel (or rather a royal blue parallel) and the differnce in color is a printing error. I can't find the tweet, but he does have it noted on the beckett website.
