It was correct at one time. A certain member decided that only one card can have a VAR and removed the VARs from the first card of each VAR. And when he did that all the subcard numbers "a" automaticallly disappeared, but the "b"s remained. This is not the only set they've done this to.

I think the TCDB set could use a little updating. The VAR numbering is still in the old format and I think there are some significant VARs missing from the checklist. (#131-#190 Gray/White Backs for instance).
I am not an expert on baseball (and don't won't to be), but since this is such an iconic set I thought someone with a passion for vintage baseball might want to bring this set up to current TCDB standards.
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
