Saw the Pearl Jam stickers come up in the completed gallery a few moments ago...
and I immediately thought of the 1991 Track Pack Yesterday's Heroes NASCAR set.
So, is that a coincidence, or does whoever designs Pearl Jam's cards have a deep knowledge of the hobby?
Yes, I know it's not the exact same, but the similarities here are way more than the differences.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Check out their Chicago tour cards and you'll see familiar Topps designs as well. Here's 2016:

...and probably no coincidence the band debuted in 1991? I'd say somebody associated with the band knows an awful lot about the hobby...

Pretty sure Eddie was in one of the First Pitch sets.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

We don't have any pics in the database yet, but the 2018 set has the 1990-91 Hoops design as seen on the uncut sheet below, and the 2013 set has a design that I know I've seen somewhere but can't remember (70s Topps maybe?)

They are just cutting the cost of producing a card. It's cheaper to copy a design than to come up with something different & new. Then if you can get say like Topps to make your cards and ask them can we used this from that year. They will say, Yes. Because that cuts the cost of paying designers and making up a new plate. I can see more companies do this because of the economy. They even used the same colors on the Topps copy because the printers already have the colors.
It's just a smart business move.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)
