So now that someone has added the checklist without the SP and Variations, the only way to add them is by adding them one at a time, right?

An L8 can append them, but now we need to get Admin involved.

Of course it was someine who has 73 points, probably no permissions above "Add Checklist": and can't do a dang thing to help fix their mess. I see there have already been about 100 edits to what they uploaded.
TERRIBLE!

Do you want 500 IRs in the queue? Because this is how you get 500 IRs in the queue.
Thank you to those who put in the effort to upload checklists, but please make sure you're doing it correctly. Adding things by hand takes way longer, plus major releases don't have the same tools available as other sets where it's easy to apply one or more fixes across the whole set with a few clicks.
There definitely needs to be some sort of checklist review process in place to eliminate stuff like this, or when someone creates a checklist of just one card they have out of the set because they're too lazy to add the rest. It adds LOTS of unnecessary work and makes things worse for everyone

I'd hate to put the burden on the L8s, but right now, only they + admin can fix these issues. I am able to upload checklists but I'd rather someone experienced do them correctly, the first time. Only L8s should be uploading major checklists IMO. Too many cooks...

Checklists are not that hard to do if the proper amount of research and care are taken.
Panini can be tough because they release their checklists simply as numbers and SN's but no AU or MEM notes. The numbers for AU and MEM sets are usually a prefix(denoting the set) and the player's initials.
Topps can be a pain because of the numerous VAR and SP.
Bowman may be the worst right now because of the Base, Chrome and Prospects sets that overlap in names between and across releases.
If the proper amount of research is done, most checklists can be accomplished. The biggest problem is that members are in a rush to get checklists loaded(often so they can enter one card they may have). This just leads to tons more work to straighten out the mess than would have been needed if the member would take the needed time to do the research and do it right in the first place.
There are increasing calls on the Forums for an added permission requirement to be able to load modern Major Release checklists. I would like to think that wouldn't be needed but the more i see that may be unavoidable because unfortunately the same names appear very often in the incorrectly done sets. I've worked checklists both ways(loading new and clean and going in and having to fix improperly loaded sets). Trust me there is a lot more time and work wasted in trying to fix improperly loaded sets. Anyone going in to fix the messed up sets still has to do the research that should have been done in the first place and then all the needed corrections need to be done (often including moving images and/or collection info that may be needed) to get an accurate checklist loaded.
Accurate info should be the ultimate goal and rushing to simply get the checklists loaded is not the correct approach so PLEASE put the needed research and effort to do it right the first time if you are going to do checklists.

I quit. I'm done with this site. I had decided a month ago that if this happened AGAIN, I would leave. I havent been on in a couple days, and I didnt realize the set had released this week, but this was the last straw for me.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Then it sounds like you had already decided to leave. To think that 2021 Topps release would be any different than any of the other Topps releases without any changes to who can create checklists was silly.
Hate to break it to everyone, but without a fundamental change to this by Admin, we will be having the same conversation in February 2022.

It appears that the base checklist with all the VAR & SPs is up-to-date. Thank you to those who worked on it!
