Maybe add a level 9 with a limited number of people having access to it. The only allowance for level 9 is to add large checklist such as Topps baseball.
I say that half in jest, because the ones that do the most around here do enough and don't need more added to them. But just like any other year we will have someone add this checklist and mess it up.

Inevitably, someone with limited knowledge on how these checklists (WITH THE SPs!) get uploaded around here will upload a partial checklist, they will not have the permissions (or they won't have the wherewithall) to make the needed additions, and it will all fall into our laps anyway.
Sorry, feeling a little cranky about these because it's the same junk every dang time.

To make this thread take a turn to a more positive vibe, if you are thinking you're the one to upload the Topps checklist, and you have ANY questions about doing it, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I will gladly help you. Also, there are several others who would probably gladly help you (and I invite them to also "extend their hand" on this thread).
Please understand, we're not trying to be jerks about this. We've just seen so many times over the years (4 or 5 now?) where the big sets like this get messed up and then it's hours of work to clean up the problem - rather than simply taking the extra 15 minutes in the first place. (And it's the selfishness of the uploader that gets me. They act like their 15 minutes of their time they saved by uploading a partial checklist is worth it even though they have now caused 2 or 3 other people to spend 2-3 hours each fixing their mess.)
Learn to do it right, then do it right.
Or please, do something you can do right, and leave this to those who can (or are willing to) do it right. Thanks.

Looks like most of the insert sets are already up here. <sigh> I already had dialogue with the member who "confrimed" everything by looking at the checklists on Topps website. And then we determined that since he has no scanner, that he's a L6 and cannot help fix numbers if they are incorrect.

Not sure how helpful it would be now, but for future sets, couldn't the Admin or an L8 (forgot if we have the power) just lock the set before the checklist is up and then someone with the knowledge fix it up and unlock it to add it?
To me that would be the smartest move. Maybe an idea is any new set added has a 30 day lock on it from the release date for anybody except the Admin to add. That would not include sets older than 5 years being added. Maybe add a new "Things to do" which would be to construct a checklist. That would also help on sets where only a few cards are known. If the full checklist isn't known it could be included on there. Sorry if that isn't making sense, I'm kind of out of it tonight.

Some decent suggestions which would definitely help. As Billy said in his post: I think a major checklist like this...that we have the same problem with every year without fail... And the problem happens every year with many sets so hopefully something can be figured out because as it goes now it is requiring much more work to fix the set than it does to load it incorrectly.
