Actually that scan with the Signed notation is seriously bad. That's why good scans are important, so you can tell what a card actually looks like.
Congratulations, you've discovered an undocumented variation. This is the second time one of these has been discovered on this website, hopefully I will find the second version in my duplicates box like I did when the Sam Bowie was found.

Will resume trading in June, 2023. Saving money spent on postage for a trip.
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
Well that's pretty cool, thanks for the background info. Good deal. I actually have two of these cards. And I don't have the "correct" card, so I wasn't aware it was any different.
Missing a printing step is a printing glitch not a VAR.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
Side note, I grew up a Fighting Illini Hoops fan, and got to see Ken Norman play in person a few times. Illinois used to come to Decatur, and play their Blue/Orange Intrasquad scrimmage at Millikin University. I still have a couple of autographed programs, those are some of the first autographs I ever got. And definitely started my enthusiasm for collecting.
I'm not sure what your problem is but it's blatantly obvious that the card did not miss the black printing. Do you not see the black backdrop, the black hair on his head? You're also assuming a terrible scan is what the actual card looks like, which is also wrong. It helps to actually know what the cards look like if you're going to argue about them...and by claiming it missed the black stage based on a crap scan you've made it very clear that you have never held a copy of this card in your hands in your life.
