Ditto to both posts! PRIME is so much more complicated than any other Panini NASCAR release. That's part of why I haven't even tried to makes CL's for it yet. There are just not enough examples out there yet.
Personally, I think Panini needs to do 1 of 3 things with this product. #1 would be to dump it entirely. Only case-breakers are busting this product b/c the real fans don't have that much money to spend for 10 cards and/or have not seen it to be worthy of that much money so far. BTW, I'm in the 2nd scenario. The case breakers aren't even doing it to re-sell anymore but to sell slots of drivers for the break.
#2 is for Panini to put out actual and correct CL's instead of random mess that has to be figured out after the release.
#3 is to drop the price in half again! They already did it once when they changed the product from National Treasures @ $500 for 10 cards to Prime @ $250 for 10 cards. The main problem is the MEM's are NOT "prime" for the price they are charging.
I guess there is actually a fourth option too. That would be to add more base cards to each box. Set collectors might actually go after this if there were 10-11 base cards instead of just 1. Just b/c the base set is SN50 doesn't mean the 50-card base set should be that hard to complete. For those unfamiliar with Prime Racing: a box @ $250 gets you 10 total cards in one pack. Each pack/box has 1 base card (SN50) OR a base parallel (SN25 or less). The rest of the cards are all AU, MEM or AU/MEM. But the SN's on those cards have a drastic range and plenty of versions to pull. If you don't pull a 1/1 of something from a box, you basically bust at their price. And even if you do pull a 1/1, it could still be a bust b/c you pulled the wrong driver or something that isn't even a patch. At least it is only the top-tier drivers (Cup Series) in the product, but a third of those drivers don't have a big fan base either.
NO PWE's EVER!!! PLZ PM me 1st before sending any offer. ONLY selling cards as of March 2024. No trades or purchases right now.
