I just looked at the Raul Mondes card from this set since I’m working on another checklist that features this card. However, the team name for this card has me somewhat perplexed since The team name listed for this card is somehow “Cleveland Indians” albeit the words “Cleveland Indians” do not appear anywhere on the front or back of the card. Raul is wearing a team inform for the Youth Servise League so I’m trying to understand how the team name is Cleveland Indians is somehow listed for this card since that designation violates the rules for naming a team for a card assignment..

I'm not sure what I am missing here, there's no Raul Mondes (Mondesi?) card in this or the Traded set.

Do you mean Manny Raimrez? He's linked to Cleveland because that's listed as who drafted him on the back of the card.

Goes to show how familiar I am with all the pics from this set. Never would have gotten Manny from Mondesi.

As stated by Bowersbird, it's listed on the back and ALL the draft pick cards in the Topps flagship sets (going back to the ones that appear in the 1985 set), are listed with the MLB team that drafted them. No rules violation on this or any of the others.

Truth be told, I also spent some time scratching my head, looking for a Raul Mondesi card. Then I just pulled up all the cards linked to Cleveland and saw that Manny was wearing the Youth Service League uniform, so I assumed that was the card.

I meant Manny Ramírez. Sorry for the error.

Then the FAQ needs to be updated. It states, "...not in "Drafted by" line nor biographical write-up".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yeah, that is not what we've been saying all along. We've always said if there is a specific spot on the card that says "Drafted By: ", then that is what we use. We do not use that info if it's buried somewhere in biographical text. Chuck, will you contact Admin, or do you want me to do it?
