Topps 1992 silver winner?

Going through my Topps 1992 Gold cards and found this Kirby Puckett in silver not gold. , I have no others and could not find anything online. wondering is this a variation . I just put it up to another card to show difference All info welcomed Thanks

Most likely a defect in the printing process. Those kinds of errors are not documented here.

We had a discussion about this exact thing in 1993 Topps Gold.It probably WAS Gold at some point in time.

I think it was just a printing issue, I have seen a couple that the gold looks lighter, and one that is missing the Gold strip all together.

The top was stamped but missing the gold foil. The Albert Bell is a Topps Gold but has no logo on the back.
