I’m writing this post in response to an Inaccuracy Report (IR) about this set and to provide a reference in case any questions come up in the future. It's a little too much information for release notes and maybe other members will have more information to add.
When Stars Wars Episode I was released in 1999, Lay’s Potato Chips ran a "Can You Resist?" promotional game that included 12 Star Wars cards with an attached game piece. The cards were included in specially marked bags of Lay’s Potato Chips and Doritos. Although Lay’s ran Star Wars promotions in countries across the globe, this particular 12-card set was only released in the US, Canada, and Australia.

In the US, the cards were distributed in two sizes depending on the product in which they were included. The larger size measures 2” x 2.75” and is orientated vertically. The card comes as part of a two-panel booklet with one panel containing the card and the other panel containing the game piece. The booklet is perforated down the middle so the card can be easily separated from the game piece.

A smaller card was included in small-sized, individual serving bags. The card uses a cropped version of the image found on the larger card but the card itselfs measures 1.5” x 2” and is orientated horizontally. This card is also a two-panel booklet. The back of the booklet contains the rules of the game while the inside of the booklet contains the game piece. This booklet is not perforated and this set is not numbered.
The Canadian set uses the full image found on the larger of the two US sets however the cards only measure 1.75" x 2". The card comes as part of a 3-panel booklet with two of panels being game pieces with the rules printed in both French and English.
The Australian set also measures 1.75" x 2" and uses the same uncropped image however, in this set, the image is surrounded by a black border. The game piece in this set is under a pop-out on the back of the card.

Although this is 12 card set, an additional card that featured Mace Windu was produced and given away to vendors and Frito-Lay employees (Mace Windu card is in the center). I don't know if the Mace Windu card exists in all four sets.

My two-cents is worth slightly more than a penny.
