What do you feel is the better way to scan these cards - with the game tab attached (like the Reds card is) or without?

I believe the full card is preferred, like the Reds card. There have been other card sets similar to this and the scans have been tagged as "needing replacement" when the full card isn't used.

My personal opinion is they should be scanned with the tab. It may look odd but my interpretation of the scanning policies of this site is to show the cards as they originally appeared when possible.

It is similar to the old Red Man Tobacco cards from the 1950s. They came with a tab attached (for a mail-in cap offer) at the bottom that many surviving cards have had removed. There are plenty of those cards with the tabs intact yet most of the scans are without the tabs. It is just as easy to acquire cards from the set with the tabs intact as it is without the tabs. Of course some of the big named stars are very pricey with the tab but they are not nearly as "scarce" as they were once thought to be (at least pre-internet "scarce")

I agree that it should be scanned "with tab". There are also the mid-80's McDonald's NFL cards and it bugs me that several scans are missing the tabs. I could have added several more scans for those, but I don't like that mine are missing the scratch-off tabs. Or for a similar comparison, here are 2 NASCAR sets and I did all of the scans for these (plus the actual CL listings for these 2 sets):
