I submitted an Inaccuracy to the Inaccuracies Manager the 2019 Rittenhouse The X-Files Archives Classic metal cards to be properly sorted according to number. The Inaccuracies Manager promptly sorted the card numbers properly.
Then I receive an email from ComposerMike:
'Please stop your uploading of photographs; read the guidelines above of how to properly scan images."
The X-Files metal cards scanned images have been tagged for replacement. In the past couple years I have scanned in over 6500 images for the TCMB. Never had a problem before. These metal card images were scanned in like the rest. The image quality on the metal cards may not be the greatest. The 9 card set I posted is one of only 50 metal sets produced. I think there should be a better way to ask why the scan looks the way it does before marking them for replacement.

I just looked at a couple of the metal images and do not see them as being terrible. I know for a fact that scanning metal coins is tough to get them to look nice. I have done some metal cards too and they just don't scan as well as cardboard.

I would have to concur. I don't really see why the metal cards are tagged as needing replacement. They look fine to me.

Just to clarify, Reese, you're using a flatbed scanner?

They look good to me, even the linked 3 stooges card. Not sure what the problem is with them. They look like scans to me.

They look good to me too as well as the one that was linked as supposedly a bad scan example. I don't think the problem here is with the scans.

Just got home from work. I use an Epson Perfection V39 scanner.

What's the dpi setting on your scans? I use 600 dpi myself. I have found anything less that that doesn't meet the eye test (just doesn't look "good").
