I have a 1991 Upper Deck baseball card (number 136 Ramon Martinez). Currently there are 2 variations having to do with the holograms - one for the standard "upper deck" hologram and another for the "baseballs" hologram. However, the card I have has neither of those two and instead seems to have a 3rd variation: It's a hologram with more depth to it, it says "Upper Deck" right side up and "Upper Deck" upside down just beneath the first. In the background, it has a bunch of "90" numbers repeated throughout, and seems to have "G" as well. After reading about this online, it seems I'm not the only one who's come across this variation. How do I go about getting this one added to the database?

Sounds like the 1990 Hockey hologram.

I don't see anything resembling hockey sticks. If I could figure out how to post pictures to this forum, I would provide some photos...any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm still pretty new to this site, what is an "IR" they speak of in that linked thread?

The hockey sticks may not be visible (or obvious) every 90 hockey hologram, but the large 90 and words UPPER DECK aligned the same as each other suggest the hockey hologram. Based on the link provided by Sportzcommish hockey holograms are known for this set. IR is an "Inaccuracy Report", that can be accessed by following "See any inaccuracies? Click here to let us know" link on set and individual card pages.

http://minnesotatwinscards.blogspot.com/2013/09/1991-hologram-errors.html?m=1
this blog entry describes what im seeing. See the example picture provided for card no. 377. My card has a similar pattern (small 90’s), but the pattern for mine is offset downward (the repeating 90 is across the very top.
I dont see anything resembling a crossed hockeystick hieroglyph … I don't even see it in the example given on the blog post, but maybe it’s my ‘special eyes’ as my wife calls them…?

Both Hockey and Comic Ball have "UPPER" and "DECK" facing the same direction on each line, but the number of text lines and the font of "90" are the main differentiators.
If there are only 1 or 2 lines of text with a large gap and the "90" is long and blocky (like you'd see on an alarm clock), that's Hockey.
If there are at least 3 lines of text with a small gap and the "90" are smaller and more repeated, that's Comic Ball.

What you have is a 'Comic Ball' hologram type.
