Should every card have the MGR note? Or should none of them? As of right now, some do and most don't.

I would say all of them should have MGR, except for Kevin Costner.

Spaz commented as I was adding the note, and like him I felt I should leave the Costner alone. Maybe our Star expert will see this and shed some light. Maybe the Costner (which is the only image missing) should have a ACT note for actor?
EDIT: I actually found 1 scan on line of the Costner, but the image is crap.

Scan forthcoming (scanning card as I type this).
Yes, all cards in the set are MGR, except Costner - it does say Actor right on the card front, so ACT would be best.

Oh, and rmpaq5 - as I was saying, on that set, I went and added all the MLB affiliates to each card (except the 2 that really don't have any). One was an independent team (Marlins) and Costner was on a fictitious team.

Thanks for getting on this guys. After I posted before, I was going to add the sample image and it had appeared. So I knew someone was working on the set and left it alone.

Obviously, I have a soft spot for these 1988 Star Company MiLB sets, but after 30 years, I look back at these, and I think they are the best of the 3 years we did them. I prefer the font and the single color. The 1989s had the 2 color thing going on, and the combinations didn't always work out as planned. The glossy sets from 1989 (marketed as Platinum, due to the print run of 1,000, just like the MLB Platinum series Star were) gave us some insight to what the 1990s would become with the single color returning, but with the fade in the center instead of extending tothe top of the card. It was quite the evolution. And they were better than the ProCards sets at the time (I thought then, and looking back, still think that!).
