I have card #BTP-88 J.B. Bukauskas from the Bowman Scouts Top 100 insert set. The front clearly shows Bowman Chrome, yet it doesn't reflect on the set. Is this mislabeled? Baseballcardpedia shows it after the Chrome section begins on their set information page.

What pack did you pull it from?

I didn't. I believe it came in a trade, lot, or was PIF'd. Just now getting around to logging it.

So the pack they come in determines the set's name?

We cannot change the base set name - that's automatically added to the insert set's name as a "prefix". So we cannot change this set to be a "Bowman Chrome" set. The insert set name is "Bowman Scouts' Top 100" Nowhere to put "Chrome" in there.
Yes, Bowman family of products are one of the most confusing product lines out there - if not the worst. I'm sure someone will chime in with worse, but you get the idea. No place for Chrome in this set's name.

But the inserts cards are Bowman Chrome cards not Bowman cards. There are dozens of other Chrome inserts listed, along with Bowman Sterling inserts. And "Chrome" and "Sterling" are in the insert set names.

The inserts should be renamed "Chrome Bowman Scouts' Top 100"

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yes, it was more than a chore to find where this card was, and within this set itself there seems to be an inconsistency in naming the inserts. It's hard enough with the Bowman numbering system to log cards especially when there's no image to confirm one. But even with that - there is an image - the "Chrome" on the card made me search elsewhere to make sure I had the right one.
