Folks, the card backs for all the variations in the High Number series (cards 501 - 725) have the variation type in the bottom of the T in the topps logo (or somewhere right around the number). Currently, many of the images uploaded are of the base card (missing this text). I'd really appreciate some help in identifying which ones need to be removed. Thanks.

Yes. They repeated it in 2019 putting the error or variation type in the number circle. A good idea, I believe.

Just another reason I detest mass-uploads of back images. As a side note, I hope this practice is something Topps will continue to do when they make a large quantity of variations or errors for a single card.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

This is the case with all but a few of the Topps variation cards. I asked about it some time ago and was met with indifference, so I just let it be. But yeah, going back to at least 2014 Topps Sparkle cards the backs are the base cards and not the actual sparkle cards.

IRs should be put in for all of them to have those incorrect backs removed. So far, I have seen zero.

PapaG321 - I picked up the ball on the first handful of scans you reported and proposed the removal.
Griffey423 - if this is the thread you're referring to, I would agree with C2Cigars in that specific instance, at that specific time. The details that small in 99% of scans likely wouldn't have been noticeable, so there's no reason to go in and alter those. HOWEVER: the new addition of the "zoom" feature for new scans, that would make those details visible, would be a perfect reason to go through, eliminate the incorrect back scans, and upload the correct ones. I would say that at this time, submit those IRs and let's clean those up, especially if you're willing to submit the correct scans in their place.

Thanks PapaG. I'll start scanning the backs. One thing I am sure of...if I supplied the scan of the back, it's accurate as I do have all of them.
