Cards at Walmart mark and Target are maintained by a vendor that gets shelvf space. They maintain it what you need to find out is like what day do they show up. The store I worked at for 15 plus years the last gentleman would come in on Thursday.
The last guy did Magizines and the cards he had 2 jobs. Only thing Walmart people did was try and keep it cleaned some. When he went on vacation the magizine distrubitor sent in another to put them out and the cards were put off to the following week. (Different distributor).
Next time Walmart has inventory look to see besides the greeting cards, you see DNI paper hanging on things. This means Walmart doesn't pay for them until they are scanned at register. So no need to inventory.

“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.”
