Unfortunately, many of the insert sets have color parallel versions of them. Please double check that the version you have and are scanning are the correct color version. I didn't notice this myself when I first started inputting my collection/wants/trades for the inserts and parallels. I have updated my collection versions and uploaded scans of appropriate ones. For instance, the 'Legends in the Making' insert set even has the wrong sample card (blue parallel used for Yoan Moncada - reported already). Simple mistakes for sure, but folks (I've been guilty myself) get antsy in uploading their collection and of course the scans. Many mistakes have been made in the past as in the 'First Home Run' insert set a couple years ago.
Thanks to everyone uploading their collections and scans!

I'm cool with color variations of parallels. IF THEY'RE SERIAL NUMBERED. I've bought one pack of 2018 Topps, and I doubt I will buy another. This is a hobby for case breakers and player collectors, and I'm feeling less interested all the time. I would rather spend my $5 on a card from 100 years ago. Or a handful of post cards.
I can't wait until Heritage & Archives.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

This had me going back and looking at some of the Jeter cards I just pulled from Target packs. Is the DJH-3 card scanned right now the blue version? I pulled 3 so far and 2 of them have this blue background across the top of the card. I was going to enter my scan but have decided to hold off until sure.

Yes, I believe it is. I made the mistake on an Opening Day card - Manny Machado. I don't mind all the inserts, but to have 5 parallels for every insert is getting rediculous.

I hate all the insert. this just getting to be too much. no one will ever have a complete set of issued cards. I dropped back from collecting all insert with base cards to a couple of samples of each. I do like the history ones.
As to make sure scans are correct, I got a BLACK card and posted it and msg Admin about it as I never saw one. And I also posted here too. Today I opened a pack and I have what it think is a GOLD not sure but it is numbered to 2018 so it could be.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

The numbered to 2018 is definitely gold. The black should have numbered /67 on it. I have one of those also. Like switzer said, would be so much better if each parallel had a serial # to be able to distinguish better, even if they are inserts.

< Guilty. I was in a rush to upload scans and made a couple of errors myself (After pointing out that others were uploading the wrong scans. Derf.) I've corrected a couple of the LITM set. Easy to make mistakes on that set.

Being colour blind (combinations of colours) is not good. Dark colours are especially difficult to determine. Blue? Black? Purple?
As switzer said a serial # would work wonders in my case. I am glad I only collect the base SF Giants. I hope I can determine which of the "Legends In The Making" I have for trade. I know I do not want to collect them.

These errors could be remedied by simply waiting a couple days and waiting for examples of the cards to start popping up on ebay and the like.
