I read the Rules and Guidelines for TCDB Notes and Glossary Entries and the corresponding list, but didn't find an entry for Major League Debut found on a various 2000 Upper Deck cards, such as these:
Should they be noted as such? And, if I have the permission level may I do it? If so, MLD (Major League Debut) would be my choice.

Are they serial numbered ? They look like the gold parallel but those are numbered out of 1 .

No, no SNs, just base set. I don't see any SNs on any of what I have. They came in a lot, but it was cleaned out of Jeter RCs so I doubt they would have left any SN1s.

Joshua, this is where you get to be creative. :) MLD will work. Just be sure to:
- Define it in the set's Glossary (MLD = Major League Debut)
- Ensure every card in the set that has the logo gets the Note
Thanks.

Not much creativity required, but do I get the copyright, trademark, or anything of the like.
I'll get on it. I started adding AS to those that have the ALL-Star label also.

Well, so much for creativity. MLD is already set up. It was just not on the PDF of the glossary list from the FAQ. So on to noting!

Ok, so all the Star Rookies (SRs) from the set whose cards showed the Major League Debut label have been assigned the MLD, SR note. NOW, I saw that card #19 Tomo Ohka also had an RC noted, and I checked the '89 UD and saw that not all SR had an RC and I confirmed (I believe) that if they had an RC in a previous year, then the RC should not be added to subsequent years despite the brand's designation. I checked the '89 UD card that everyone wishes they had, #2 Luis Medina has the "SR, RC", while Greg Jefferies only has the "RC" since he had a release in '88. EXCEPT, that in checking on this set I also found that Alfonso Soriano (whom I've started collecting) had RCs in 1999, AND one in 2001. So, just to clarify:
- RCs ONLY apply to their first major release year regardless if it's an update set, thus UD's SR doesn't necessarily require an RC. Ohka's 2000 UD card qualifies and gets the "MLD, SR, RC", while Soriano's only gets the "MLD, SR";
- The RC noted on Soriano's 2001 Pacific card should be removed
Am I correct?
