Should these cards be numbered BC-12a (ERR: Tom Glavine pictured) and BC-12b (COR: John Smoltz pictured)? Both cards are listed in the checklist as BC-12. If so can someone tell me how you make that change? I thought I remember reading that if a card is listed as an ERR in note 2 and another card with the same number is listed as COR in note 2, then the database automatically assigns one card as "Xa" and the other as "Xb".

I have gone in and did the number verification which allowed me to add the "a" to the error card. By doing it this way, if someone searches by card # BC-12 should produce both cards in the search results. If you just add "a: to the card # as we used to do, the search result would not come up with these cards.
When I did this, the COR version did not allow me to add "b" to it. Not sure if this was a glitch or proper.

I quit making changes for quite some time now, and the above posts are one reason why. Last I knew, we weren't using the "a" or "b" suffixes to card numbers. Has that now changed again? With everyone being able to make changes, I can't tell which way is right or wrong.

Admin changed how we did the suffix because the filter search by # would not bring up anything with a suffix. Now, as soon as you put in an ERR or VAR in the Note field, a separate box will appear for the number where you add the suffix. This way, when a search is done by #, as in this case, by entering BC-12, you will get both cards in the search results.
I feel your pain; trying to keep up with changes is sometimes difficult and if not everyone stays up on it, we end up having to go back and correct things that were changed. That is also why Admin created the "Lockdown" feature on sets.

The COR should have a "b". Ask Admin to unlock it and we'll look at it again.

I verified them this morning. When the option wasn't there, I assumed that the COR version did not get a suffix (against my better judgement). I think this glitch has been seen before by others. Admin?

Did the corrected card have "COR:" with a colon, in Note2 when you did this? If there is no colon after the COR (or VAR, ERR, etc) then the secondary number field will not appear.

That is probably it. Most of the time no one puts the "COR: correct picture" (example in this case) in Note 2. We need to take a note of this if it is to work properly.
