Regarding the 1989 Topps set, the link below hats many explosive variations that aren't on the site. The one I want to know the most about is the #403 Kirby Puckett All-Star card. It says that the e is printed on the helmet but in some versions it just seems the entire word league is shifted down a bit and nothing else. What is your opinions on these cards, (specifically the Kirby.) https://goldcardauctions.com/1989-topps-baseball-cards/

The problem is, no one will know what Kirby All Star card you are talking about as you did not mention a set nor did you link your Forum thread to the set you are talking about. I am going to assume it is the 1989 Topps set. If it is, go to that set's page and click on the Forum link on the left side of the page. That will automatically tie your thread to that set. You can do that with all sets.
(Really wish more members used this feature).

I've got two versions of the Puckett card - one with a space between the helmet and the e, and another where the two are touching. It's a rather slight difference. I've heard there may also be a repeat print defect where there is a white blob printed over the E as well, but I have not seen a version like that myself yet.

So to slight to count it then? It just seems to minor.

Let's see some images and see what really was the cause of these differences.

I noticed at the end of the article they provide a reference/link to this site to learn more. Kinda cool really...

Sounds like an out of register (misalignment) of the black printing plate.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
