Can any of you color-sighted people tell me if there is any difference between the gold and copper parallels in this set, other than the obvious, which I can't see? Is the gold possibly on heavier stock, or foil surface, or anything at all that would make it stand out from copper? I got a big stack of one or the other (or both) for Christmas and have no idea what I am looking at.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

While most scans don't show it, the gold is a lot brighter than the copper. Seeing them side by side it is easy to tell the difference, online scans, not as easy.

The copper looks quite a bit more brown than the gold.

Thanks guys. I am of the opinion that all of mine are the same. If I were to guess, I would say they are all gold, but since there are probably 100 of them, that seems unlikely, unless gold were easily acquired. To me it seems like those would be scarcer but maybe not.

I've mentioned this before. They have Color Detection apps for smartphones. Take a pic and it will tell you what color is in the center point.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I must not have been on that day. I've never seen this in my life, Chuck! I'll look for one now.

You're right. Your last post was two days before I posted.

I figured for sure you would prove me wrong and show me a reply I said to that!
I installed an app, and mine are somewhere between "University of California Gold," "Vegas Gold," and "Brass."
Call me a skeptic, but I refuse to believe that all of these colors exist.

Glad to see it's working for you. Did you say, "where has this been all my life?"
