Going through my stuff and relized these two cards have the same card number. I can only find the Josh Wise on the site, so does anyone know where the Richard Petty is listed or even if it is listed?
Thanks ,
Mike

The Petty is the SP Variation: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/133541/cid/8878618/2016-Panini-Prizm---SP-Variations-Prizms-43-Richard-Petty
I'm not sure why these aren't in the base set like variations in other sports; do we try and handle NASCAR differently?

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

It was added 4+ years ago. Not sure why SP VARs are in 3 different sets.

I've come across that in other Panini sets, all sports. The SP variations listed under Inserts. I think it's the way Panini breaks down their base checklists into separate parts on their website. And members not taking the time (or common sense) to realize they're all part of one base checklist.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Thanks for the reply, guess I was so use to looking for the white flags for the SP cards. Brain fade on my part.
Thanks all,
Mike

I haven't done anything with Panini stuff. Looks like Billy and Adam did most of the early work on this product listing. Hopefully one of them can share the reasoning behind the listing method.

Dan brings up a fair point and a possible solution? Could our checklists then properly handle the VARs in the base set? Things have changed an awful lot since that time, and I'm wondering if there were some things that were done correctly at the time but aren't standard anymore and were never changed
