The 2021 movie "8-Bit Christmas" has a part with a character finding a Billy Ripken error in December of 1988. Would '89 Fleer Baseball have been out by December of '88? Edited on: Nov 26, 2021 - 9:50PM

Yes the cards used to be released about a week to 2 before Christmas

yes for awhile it was all about who could theirs out the fastest after the end of the season. There was one year I think Topps was able to just beat Thanksgiving to the punch. Ah those were the days. Now they are all lazy and doing releases late into the year of that year :(
