I'm not sure what it's called, but this set doesn't have an identifying card when you access it's main page. I think it should be Dak Prescott's Rated Rookie card.

Some of the larger sets, Admin blocks so that even Level 8 members cannot add the Sample.
Please drop Admin a note stating your preference, and they might just take your advice. (I know I had several requests used in the past.)

Vroomed,
Any idea why Admin would block that ability on some sets and not others?

From the FAQ:
- How do the sample cards for sets get chosen?
embers with Level 7 permissions or above have access to choose the sample card for insert sets. Members with Level 8 permissions have access to choose the sample card for base sets.
The sample cards for base sets of modern releases of Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey are chosen based on which players get selected to All-Star and Pro Bowl teams during the given season.
Basically, it appears that for the more mainstream sets, Admin reserves the right to choose the player best fit to represent the set. At least that's my take on it.

This Sample discussion came up years ago. It was a concensus that certain players end up representing a set. I think Admin doesn't want us "jumping the gun" and end up choosing a bunch of Johnny Manziel's as sample cards.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Well so far Prescott would be a better choice than Elliott.

It was also decided that subset cards would not be used as a Sample because they have a different design. So a Rated Rookie subset card shouldn't be used.

1986 Donruss had Jose Canseco as the sample card - a Rated Rookie.

The Canseco has the same design as the rest of the base cards. The Prescott is different from the other base cards.

I see no problem with a common player being used as a sample card as long as it is a good photo. I would not want to see the same stars year in and year out as the sample. Also, it is nice when every team in a league is represented not just someone favorites.
