I am just curious how many team set collectors are collecting the 2016 Topps Now cards. I am a Twins collector, and, of course, they are having a very bad year. I didn't give the Topps Now cards much thought until May 29, when a Twins player was first on a card. I thought "what the heck" and ordered it. But, once I started, I have to have them all. Because the Twins are not having a good year, there are only 11 Twins cards to date, but when I do the math I realized I have spent $110.00 on an 11 team Twins team set. I could have bought some really nice, older vintage Twins materials for that price. It has gotten to the point where I am hoping there isn't a card coming out. The other night, Joe Mauer got a walk off single! I thought, no way that will be a card. Next day, sure enough, another $9.99 card to commemorate his walk off single. I realize I am lucky, in a way, because of the Twins situation. I am certainly grateful I don't collect the Cubs (currently 38 cards), or the Red Sox, Mets, etc. I am just curious what other collectors are doing. If they have a Topps Now set next year, I am thinking I won't be collecting them, but, never say never!!

I'm a Yankees fan and am collecting all the Yankees Topps Now cards. I don't buy direct from Topps, though. I buy from an eBay seller that takes advantage of the quantity discounts offered by Topps. I pay $6 to $7 per card, depending on the player.
The cost is a bit much, in my opinion, but I'll continue through the year.

I am, obviously, a Royals fan and have been getting all the Royals cards. I think there have been 14 so far. I remember reading an article about the cards 2 or 3 months before the season started. I wasn't going to get them but my son had different plans. Card number 2 was the World Series trophy. (I don't understand why it wasn't card number 1.) He got me the card for an early Father's Day present. Like the Twins collector I had to keep buying after that. I bought the next 3 from Topps and then started buying from another Royals collector. He buys 5? at the discount price and then I buy one from him for $8. I don't think I'll get the cards next year. I could have bought a nice 1966 Hank Aaron card or maybe a Gaylord Perry for my '66 set for what I've spent. I like the cards and don't regret the ones I have but they aren't worth the money, at least not to me.

Tiger fan here. I have been buying them from Topps as they come out. I believe I have 16, but that includes a Prince Fielder, and Ichiro card. I buy 5 at a time when I get them in time, lol, have traded some of the duplicates. I will finish the year, but don't think I will buy next year.

Phillies fan here - didn't bother with this product (although, not sure how many Phillies highlights there have been :( - OK, I just looked, 7 cards - including one for first overall draft pick, proof that they were the worst team last year - woohoo.) If I was to see one somewhere for $1 or $2, maybe. But that's the extent of my interest.

I've purchased two from Topps and 1 from eBay. I don't care about collecting them all because I don't need a $10 Adam Lind card. Although I do regret not getting the Dae-Ho Lee card when it was available because all I see available now are $30+

I bought the first Cardinal and then stopped. Too expensive, especially when it's a limited product but you don't know how limited until after the fact. My brother bought one of a game he was actually at, which was pretty cool for him. He goes to a lot more games than me so the odds were in his favor of something happening at a game he attended. I do, however, like the concept of Topps printing only as many as they are going to sell. What if they had done that in 1987?!?!
-------------------------------
I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Not interested in these. Will not buy them from Topps or the secondary market. Hope that helps.
