The Press Plate parrallel set is listed as a PR8. The one example scanned is of card #8 is the cyan plate, SN1, and appears to be of the back.
https://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/11233/cid/1922845/1998-Pinnacle---Press-Plates-8-Ray-Lankford?PageIndex=1
So I would suggest renaming this set Press Plate Backs Cyan, changing note1 to SN1, and creating 7 other sets, the other 3 back colours and the 4 front colours, all SN1. Of course it is now 1am and way overdue for bed so...I'll heck back in tomorrow LOL.
EDIT: There is another back scanned #133 and is the back magenta. 146 is the front cyan. All the inserts are listed also

I completely agree! There should be "Press Plate Front Black" parallel and then Cyan, Magenta and Yellow versions of the parallel and also "Press Plate Back Black" parallel and then Cyan, Magenta and Yellow versions of the parallel. I've had to do this before for other cards where someone compiled all versions of one rare card into a single CL. I'm sure this specific CL was done long before it was easy to make such changes quickly. I also don't have the time to do it right now b/c it's so late. But it does need to be done at some point soon.

I just looked at the checklist - it's worse than that!
- Base set - 200 cards
- Epix set = 24 cards (at least - are there different ones for the 3 different colors and yet the 4 different "types" - Moment, Play, Game, Season?)
- Hit It Here set = 10 cards
- Spellbound = 50 cards
Each one of those needs 8 sets?? Can someone confirm before we make these (and they turn out to be "phantom cards")? Thanks!

So I propose this...the 8 sets each for the base set is pretty much confirmed from the scans already entered. We create those sets, and clean up the checklist for the set that exists already. Upon confirmation of the insert sets existing create them then. I have no problem taking point on this. Just looking for concensus before proceeding.

Never doubted that the Epix plates existed. The questions that still remain on the Epix plates:
Did they only insert the plates of the same cards that were inserted in this product (or did they release them in this product for the whole Epix product)?
Are there separate plates for the Game, Moment, Play, & Season types?
Are there separate plates for Orange, Purple, and Emerald colors?
There were 24 players, with 12 cards (actually, only 9 were released as one color run of one type was missed due to Pinnacle going out of business). Also, did that affect what was released?
There is the possibility of up to 96 24-card checklists for the Epix sets - which ones really exist? That's really my question on these.

I am in no way a print expert. but wouldn't they just use the same plates? The plates I have found on line for the EPIX and other inserts just say black, magenta, cyan....etc.
I see what you say about the EPIX plates and I think the best solution would be to list the plate sets with what set the actual cards came out in. As for colour parralel of the inserts for now not worry and create if confirmed to exist...but I think the one set would be used.

So then the Type (Play, Moment, Game, Season) will have listings, but not the colors.
My only argument against that is the fact that they need differring colors to make Orange and Green, so therefore, the plates would be different. Yellow may be the same for those two, but maybe not needed for the Purple. Just as I doubt Cyan would be in the mix at all (or much) for the Orange. (It would be needed for other parts of the card, but not for the large color backgrounds.) This is the only reason I question whether they would be different.

I don't think that the Pinnacle color parallels were made that way Dan. I think the background color variations were printed on the sheets first, then the same plates would have been used to overlay the pictures on top of all of the various backgrounds. They used this process on the Certified product where there were base, red, mirror red, mirror blue, etc., parallels. The red, mirror red, blue, etc., differences were in the stock, not printed with the pictures.
