1998 Upper Deck/Pinnacle Kellogg's Basketball Forum

I have some WNBA cards that are similar to this set, the same numbers and more or less the same look.  The difference though is mine aren't Upper Deck, they are Pinnacle.  Is this still the same set, or no?  None of the WNBA cards from this set are shown, so I didn't know if it was the same.  The WNBA Pinnacle set listed are not the cards I have as the numbers don't match and the look isn't the same (actually I have a couple cards from that set).

I just wanted some clarification before I added my cards to set and potentially scan them for the database.

I visually scanned this set for referees today and noticed the same thing Jupiter mentioned. NBA cards are Upper Deck and WNBA are Pinnacle. They are listed slightly differently on COMC (I do realize that may not be actual evidence, but figured it was worth mentioning.)

The thing the WNBA and NBA set seem to have in common is Kellogg's. I am not sure how these were released - mixed together in same boxes or in separate products.

Any further insights appreciated.

IMO, set name should be changed to  "1997-98 Pinnacle/Upper Deck Kellogg's NBA/WNBA".

I don't know the "best" name but I do believe a name change would be best. Is this little forum post enough to make that happen or does it need to be proposed somewhere larger?

"1997-98 Pinnacle/Upper Deck Kellogg's NBA/WNBA" should be "1997-98 Pinnacle/Upper Deck Kellogg's WNBA/NBA" or "1997-98 Upper Deck/Pinnacle Kellogg's NBA/WNBA"

Allows for it to be read like Pinnacle and WNBA go together and Upper Deck and NBA go together.
