1986 Topps Baseball Forum

I have a 6 card uncut sheet of 86 Topps that appears to have come from a magazine insert.  There is a staple hole between two of the cards leading me to believe it came from a magazine.

The cards are identical to 86 Topps.

The cards I have on the sheet are Ray Miller (381), Bob Lillis (561), Randy O'Neal (73), Domingo Ramos (462), Bobby Valentine (261), and Luis Salazar (103)....so nothing special.

I have had this 6 card sheet since I was a kid, but I have no idea where I got it from, or where it came from.

Any ideas?

That is the same thing I have, but different cards.  You can see the staple hole/location in the image.  

They could be from Dynamite Magazine. They used to release six card panels like this in the magazines and they were always older Topps. Here is an example of a 1980 Topps panel. I don't really know much about them, but know of at least this 1980 panel and a 1977. I'm sure there's more info on the web though.

Hmm, I don't remember Dynamite magazine have cards in them, that's pretty cool.  I've been wanting to get some old issues of that so I might look for ones with cards in them.

I never had any issues myself, but I've seen similar panels before and they were always labeled with Dynamite Magazine. Maybe it wasn't an every issue thing, and they only released once or a few times per year. I'd be interested to know more... and why the players shown are nearly always no name, lower level players instead of stars.

I agree it could have been a kids magazine like Dynamite or Bananas both were distributed by the Scholastic Book Company. Bananas was for the older pre-teen/tween kids. 

According to Wikipedia Dynamite was around from 1974-92 seems Bananas was the same years.
