Ok, so I have some questions about this "set." I was decorating my office today, using 14 of these postcards lined neatly along my window -- there's even a perfectly placed groove they can rest in. But I digress.
1. Why does this set have a year? Is 1995 when the HOF first created these? Because they've continued with it and I have identical postcards that post-date (see what I did there?) 1995. I'm looking at my Andre Dawson postcard right now (inducted 2010).
2. Why are these cards numbered? There are no card numbers issued. Not to knock the person who put in the effort to add the checklist and scan the cards, but the checklist is in no order whatsoever. Not alphabetical. Not by year of induction. Not by team.
3. Does anyone have the power/energy/desire to correct this? And would it be "1995 to present" for the "year?" If I had the permissions, I'd be happy to make some of the changes -- reorganizing it into year of induction or alphabetically, replacing the made-up numbers with NNO, even updating the checklist, if I could find access to a complete one. But, alas, I still wallow in meagre level six permissions.
I'm not gonna add these into my collection here. Partly, because I always considered them to be more souvenirs than cards, but I understand their inclusion here. But also partly because I couldn't enter all my cards into the list, because some aren't listed, although they're clearly part of the same "set."
Ok, that's all. I don't care THAT much. But I suspect perfectionists out there will leap into action....
