I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present.... We got Soto, Bell, and Hader, plus we got rid of ground-out machine Hosmer.
Happy Birthday to me!! Go Padres! Let's get things back on track!

Soto rejected a 15-year, $440 million deal earlier this year.
I know this is pro sport, but who in the world can think that $440 million for 15 years (almost 30 million per annum) is not enough for their services? At this point, what's the matter of requiring some extra millions or this (link)? I know that he wants to be paid more than the other guy and gas prices are expensive these days, but what world does he live in? He can be the very best in the world, what would he thinks if someday injuries move his career in a downward spiral and he needs to stop playing early or whatever else?

Juan Soto, Josh Bell trade was huge. Once again, sad deadline for Nationals fans. At least they got Mackenzie Gore and C.J. Abrams.
My Halos on the other hand... traded Syndergaard and Marsh to Philly. Not sure what to think about this.
Honestly surprised Cubs didn't deal Happ and Contreras.

O'Hoppe is very good. You guys got a good one. Great leader and infectious personality. I think he could start by the end of 2023 for LAA.

I saw that the Angels got O'Hoppe in the Marsh trade. Glad he is a pretty good prospect and a good leader as well.

no offense to my Padres fans, I hope Soto breaks a leg for turning that deal down. That would show Boreass true self as he wouldn't lose any skin in the game and just toss another player aside.
