She passed away peacefully earlier today. She fought cancer for 30 years. Sad day.

Sad news indeed.
She is one of my favorite artists from the time in my life when my parents controlled the car radio. The Xanadu album was my gateway to ELO fandom.
Fond memories from a simpler time.
RIP

My first celebrity love/crush. I guess I was 13 or 14 at the time.
A friend had the "If You Love Me, Let me Know" LP. Released in 74, I think. Olivia is on the cover, in front of trees in a blue denim shirt.

Ditto on the crush.
Valiant lady who fought the good fight against cancer.

Lost another GREAT today.. She was an artist and actress and a cancer survivor.. I remember back in my youth, to go see Grease at the drive-in, with my then girlfriend. Staying up late to see her on Midnight Special with Wolfman Jack.. RIP Olivia you weren't an American, but America LOVED YOU!!!. Along with the rest of the world.. Thank you for the music and memories that you brought so many..

Another iconic personality gone. Missed an opportunity to see her perform a long time ago when she was just beginning her career but was probably a few years to young to have been allowed to go. She always was an inspiration to all and her music will live on for a long time.

I remember listening to her on the radio as a kid in the late 70s and early 80s. One of my favorites! My dad and I enjoyed seeing her perform at the AFL/VFL Grand Final.
