Like one TSN guy just said on Twitter, Conner didnt die or something, its a broken collarbone, he is 18 years old and a professional athalete, we could only dream of the care he shall get from his employer. It just sucks because there is a good chance that just threw any chance of a Calder Trophy for the youngster. And I traded Jamie Benn for the right to pick first overall in my Fantasy Draft (yes that is sobbing you hear!) He will be all good in time and as for it affecting his card values can't see how it will be a factor this season, the card companies must have 2000 images of him by now. Just a few less inserts next year if he is not the Calder winner. But then I MAY be a little biased, kind of like me asking you if Price's injury going to upset the cart in Montreal. LOL J/K =) Speedy recovery McD, just like I heard in an old movie once .... "You are our only hope!" Bahahahaha.
as far as card values- if based just on that (excluding one's personal worth)-, i think its all up to the athlete's return and how they bounce back from it. that will determine the dollar value. some return and do excellant and continue like nothing schanged, whereas others don't. good point, i was lucky and pulled a cpl great cards and a 1 of 1 on RG3 and was able to dump them off for some excellant prices just before he got injured-- look at all the good things he's done after he returned (yes sarcasm implied)
