Dawn Wells passed away at 82 due to COVID
I believe that leaves Ginger (Tina Louise) as the last remaining Gilligan's Island regular

RIP Dawn Wells. I grew up watching reruns of Gilligan's Island. I always did like Mary Ann more than Ginger. Dawn Wells will be missed. This has been a bad year for deaths. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year.

Reruns, pshaw! I kid you. I remember the excitement of seeing the original show go from black & white to color. Then years later, watched them in reruns. mmmmmm Mary Ann. :)

Man I miss those campy sitcoms of the 60s. I was just thinking of Hogan's Heroes yesterday for some reason, but surely Gilligan's Island is the pinnacle.
RIP Ms. Wells, and thanks for bringing pleasure to so many of us.

As a kid I was always a Mary Ann fan, I had such a crush on her when I was a kid. Rest in Peace Dawn Wells.

Yup, I always leaned towards Mary Ann over Ginger. Dumb, dumb show. But kept me content after school in the 70s. (Reruns, true, but not that old).
Speaking of Hogan's Heroes, I loved that show. Much later in life, I noticed something odd. I thought back on people I'd hired over the years. There was a Schultz, a Hogan, a Clink (ok, not Klink, but close enough), a Carter. Alas, no LeBeau or Burkhalter (is that right?). Anyway, that was a strange coincidence. Or WAS it????

I was never a huge fan of Gilligan's Island, but I always liked Dawn Wells. In the 90's and I believe the 80's as well, during the Memorial Day weekend she locally co-hosted the Children's Miracle Network telethon in Mid-Missouri. She went to college for a short time at Stephens College in Columbia, so she was familiar with the area, and because she was a co-host I always admired her.

I wasn't alive yet when the show was on regular run and I never got involved in the Ginger/Mary Ann debate, but it's amazing they could build all those electronic devices out of coconuts but couldn't fix the boat. And why did they have so much luggage for a 3-hour tour?
