I was saddened to hear of Peter Mayhew's passing.
Chewbacca has always been one of my favorite Star Wars characters, and a lot of that had to do with Mayhew's mannerisms in his acting.
I was lucky enough to have met him once many years ago at a party for guests of honor at a convention. (I was the plus one for another guest of honor at the same convention.)
He was very kind and I was happy to have had a nice conversation with him, and am still amazed at looking down and seeing my forearm sticking out from his hand when we shook hands. I'm not a small guy but his hand seemed to completely wrap over my hand and wrist when we shook hands.
Rest in peace, Peter Mayhew. You will live in our memories, and your character Chewbacca will be remembered forever.
