Got to meet him in Huntsville '98 when we had a wrestling promotion that season.  Real nice guy. Incredible upper body strength swinging those clubs. Will always remember him and Sgt. Slaughter bouts during the Carter years, the "camel clutch", and of course, Hulk Hogan beating Iron Sheik for the title and the start of Hulkamania. R.I.P.

I think it was Sheik that I watched a documentary on several years back. It was a great watch and you got a lot of insight in him and his life. I have many fond memories of watching him wrestle.

I was just reminded yesterday that this year marks the 40th anniversary of him defeating Mr. Backlund for the championship.

The recent documentary of his life is a must-watch; he definitely was scarred in later years due to his daughters' death.

Athletically, he was a Bad Mama Jama! RIP Sheiky Baby.
