My all-time favorite baseball player - no one even comes close. Started watching him when sports became my main interest in 1966. I never got to see him play in person but it was always in the plans for my dad and me to one day travel from our Texas home to Candlestick Park. It never came to be as my dad died in '72 and Willie retired in '73.
