Passed away last night in hospice at the age of 78. Had an amazing run for the Dodgers in the 70s and won the NL Cy Young Award in 1974 when he had 106 relief appearances, a record highly unlikely to be beaten the way pitchers are treated now. ------------------------------- * Ed * L8 * Cards in my personal Collection are unavailable *

I remember watching him with amazement during the 1974 pennant run. 106 appearances, wow! Also the first time I heard the word "kinesiology".

I was bummed when the Dodgers traded my favorite player (Willie Davis) for Marshall after the 1973 season. It obviously worked out well for the Dodgers. Marshall was the antithesis of "load management." RIP.
