Tommy Lasorda has been called to Blue Heaven by the Great Dodger in the Sky, but we were so blessed to have him here among us in Los Angeles for so many years. I got to meet Tommy several years ago when he gave a speech and did a book signing at our local library. He was a highly entertaining speaker, autographed his book for me, and let me take several pictures with him, which I cherish. I doubt we'll ever see another personality and master motivator like him again. Rest in peace, Skip, and I will never forget your opinion of Kingman's performance!

I'm an Angel fan, having grown up in the OC, but living in LA for 40+ years

to my neighbors who are Dodger fans he was a legendary manager,

with the help of Kirk Gibson, a world series in 88 and before that in 81 with the Cey-Russell-Sax-Garvey infield Fernando on the mound, and future Angels Manager Mike Scioscia behind the plate

post retirement, he remained one of the faces of the franchise, kind of a mascot the past 25 years

The Dodgers lost their voice -Vin Scully - to retirement 4 years ago, and now this, the end of an era

Even I know who that is. NYC news covered him. Sad day for all the Dodgers fanatics that I know.
