I am sorry to hear that. In just 10 days, TCDB has lost a second member we all liked very much. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I had never conducted any transactions with him, but knew of him pretty well. He was one of the names of royalty among TCDB members whom I had hoped to trade with one day. When I joined the site, he was one of the ones who helped me add a few sets before I got enough rank to do so. I hate to hear this news and wish sincere condolences to his family. From our few conversations, he seemed like a great man who truly enjoyed the hobby and the people in it.

Very sad news.
His dry wit will be missed.
It was back a few years ago when we were going through all of the micro-variation debates, David chimed in with a reply, "I need a new hobby." It made me laugh. .
A sad day indeed.

Rest in Peace David. Don't believe we ever traded but enjoyed his sense of humor.
As I age, I have often thought that someday I will just disappear from here for the same reason. I wonder if someone will get on to tell you, or if I'll just fade away like an old Topps card out in the sun.
Hope it's not for a while yet.

This is very sad news. I wasn't aware that he wasn't much older than I am. I haven't had the interactions with David as many others have, but if there was ever a Mt. Rushmore of the TCDB, he definitely deserves to be on it. As someone mentioned, this is the second known person to pass away recently that has made the site enjoyable. It's sad to think we'll have to start an In Memory section of the Yearly Awards, just for former members.
Thank you for letting us know about his passing. If something were to happen to me, I'm not sure if anybody would announce it on here that knows me personally, but probably would find out through a site like Twitter or Facebook. Its good to know people either have let it be known to make announcements on here or letting us know.
Rest easy David, though we didn't interact very much, it was very enjoyable to see you on this site. I hope your family can find peace during this somber time.

I am saddened to hear this. I really enjoyed David's irreverent wit and we shared a love for the St Louis Cardinals.

I am so sorry for your loss. I never interacted with him other than maybe a forum post or two but I always enjoyed seeing his commentary here on the forums. He will truly be missed.
