I know some of you had contact through conversations and trades with my brother David. I wanted to let you know that he passed away yesterday. He loved collecting cards for 40+ years, and I also collect because of him.
I am certain that any of you who knew him recognized what a wonderful person he was even if you never met in person.

I'm so sorry for you and your family. David was a great guy, even when we didn't see eye to eye, he was a fun sparring partner. Always in good fun. I am deeply saddened to hear that he has passed and so young. He was very much respected here.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 10/25/2023). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).

I'm very sorry for your loss. It saddens me to see what feels like a large number of members passing recently, and way too young. Hopefully David enjoyed his time here as much as others enjoyed interacting with him.

OMG, Chuck just told me. David had a special place in my life even though I never met the man. He gave me my identity here and with my business venture. Frozen Penguin will always be wearing an arm band with his initials. Please take my deepest sympathies to heart as I am literally crying right now. David and I talked by phone on several occasions about his beloved Canucks and his obscure hobbies such as his love for updating the cemetery registry. I am stunned and shocked and now know why I had that feeling of dread yesterday. If anyone is close to Chuck, as in distance, I am sure he could use a check in at some point, he let me know and I am guessing he is not taking it well. Can you please pass along any information on funeral arrangements, PLEASE. Thank you. God Bless His Soul.

Whole-heartedly agree with comments form vroomed and FreehanSolo and, unfortunately, I am know what you are going through having lost my brother less than 5 months ago. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

I don’t really know what to say other than I am very sad to see this news. I am sorry for your loss. He will definitely be missed here for sure. I’m honestly a bit shocked at the moment.
