...not Presidents Day.  In accordance with section 6103(a) of Title 5 of the United States Code, the holiday is "Washington's Birthday". 

Just a pet peeve that drives me nuts.

My pet peeve is Washington's birthday is next Monday.

I remember before the Uniform Monday Holiday Act went into effect in 1971.  When we got both Washington's Birthday and Lincoln's Birthday off from school...on their actual birthdays.

Presidents Day is a state holiday in something like 22 states though. But I get your point. They call it Presidents Day at the banks here in Illinois, where Washington's and Lincoln's Birthday are officially two separate holidays, but one "day off" is generally given covering the two. There is no legal Presidents Day in Illinois.

It used to be around Boston card dealers would celebrate Presidents day sales for  week. Now they doit for a whole month.

Yes! C2Cigars! Then MLK, Jr Day came, and that was too many days off, so they combined the Presidents' birthdays. What this has to do with trading cards, I don't know. Although if I start collecting Allen & Ginter, I'm bound to wind up with a Lincoln, Washington, or King card.
