They kept giving me titles all the time and no raises. But I did the same thing all the time; I never changed. I never had a day off, and I enjoyed it.”

Every team has that one individual that dedicates their life to the organizatio and today the St. Louis Blues lost theirs. My dad grew up watching him play and we both loves to watch him lift the Stanley Cup. The man gave everything to the Blues since the beginning and the organization will never be the same.

I remember the start of Blues and Flyers and the games they played. Always a little physical but then that was NHL hockey.

His passing brought back great memories of me learning to love hockey. and dislike the Blues and the start of some good NHL coaching starts

I remember flipping through magazines at a card show and an issue of Sport had an article on him BEFORE he joined the Blues. I'm guessing it came out during or just after the 1966-67 season when he topped the AHL in penalty minutes as a member of the Baltimore Clippers. He was still a prospect for the NY Rangers. I just did a cursory search on the Internet for that write-up ... no luck.
