Famous for speaking out against former coach Graham James who sexually abused him. He's since done numerous work for charity and abuse prevention programs, including roller blading across Canada. I highly recommned a TV movie about him called The Sheldon Kennedy Story and a documentary called Sheldon Kennedy: A Story of Human Courage if you want to know more about him.
