I remember seeing a checklist in an old Hockey card price guide, possibly an old Sluggers?  That would be very incomplete by now but would be a good starting point anyways.  

Possibly the most famous of these types are the 1990 Hoops Sam Vincent #223 which "Shows Michael Jordan" wearing the #12 jersey (which PSA now denotes as such on their slabs).  Or from the same set the Mark Jackson #205 showing the Menendez brothers in the crowd.

You won't find that on this site. Site rules only allow us to tag a player if they are the focus of the card. That is why the Lowe card isn't linked to Gretzky and the Vincent card isn't linked to Jordan. If you want to compile a list of cards with Gretzky in the background, start a User List. Many members here will be happy to chime in to tell you about cards with Gretzky in the photos.

What can be done about this is you can go to Gretzkys page, post links in the Gretzky forum of all cards that he is cameoed on. So anytime a collector of Gretzky looks him up on the site that forum will be there under his name. 

I will be doing this for my player when I have a free moment to put the list together. I also recommend this for any player collector, or team collector that would like to help those of us that are a little nuts for our player or teams and want all cards of our player or teams.

All someone has to do is keep a custom list for them. But for some reason I thought there was a way to see if a card was in a list but I guess not.
