You can call it what you like but until you can convince PSA or whoever to grade the thing as a RC the point is moot.
So the OP was referring to a specific player Bill Barilko who played defence for the Toronto Maple Leafs back in the late 1940's. WAY before my time, but he was one tough son of a gun. Today he might be referred to as a goon or enforcer, but back in those days there were only 6 or 7 teams in the NHL (Brooklyn Americans folded around the end of WWII) so he had to be a pretty good player just to make the team.
Anyway long story short, in 1951 he scored the game winning goal in overtime to win the Maple Leafs the Stanley Cup. So later that summer trip with a friend way way up north, the only way in was to fly. On the return trip the plane crashed and remained missing for years. He was only 24 years old at the time and his story is somewhat of a legend in Canada. There's even a song called "50 Mission Cap" by The Tragically Hip all about it.
Earlier in this post someone had asked about the 1951/52 Parkhurst card# 52, so the picture on that card is the actual goal Barilko scored to win the Leafs the Cup. They wouldn't win another until 1962 ... the year his body was discovered.
