Just saw the news online. She wrote some of Fleetwood Mac's greatest songs. Her solo work was mind-blowing as well. I will forever treasure her music. Such an influence to my musical tastes. Fly high Songbird!

I was fortunate to see Fleetwood Mac in 2014 with the full Rumours lineup. At the end of the show the arena started emptying, but I knew they were going to do another encore, which turned out to be 'Songbird'. Just Christine and the piano...what an amazing moment that gave everyone chills. RIP.

Yes, very, very sad. And on my birthday no less. May she rest in peace. My condolences to all Fleetwood Mac fans.

I always thought she should have kept her maiden name. It just fit her so well.

Sad news. Her music will live on. RIP Ms. McVie.

It was perfect.
In the 70s, as a kid, I heard Fleetwood Mac on the radio, and enjoyed it. In the 80s, as a teen, I listened more to Stevie as she became the big star, and the Stevie-led FM stuff got more airplay. Over the past 20-30 years, as I listened to their full albums, I came to appreciate the songs that were McVie and Buckingham much more than the Nicks songs. Naming definitive favorites in music is always difficult for me because my favorites change with my moods, but "Hold Me" (from Mirage, 1982) has always been one of my favorite FM songs, no matter the mood. Looking through the songs again, what a legacy of songs she's left for us ("Over My Head", "Say You Love Me", "Don't Stop", "You Make Loving Fun", "Think About Me", "Love In Store", "Little Lies", and of course "Everywhere" to only name the more notable ones). RIP Christine, you will be very much missed by this music fan.

One of my concert goals was to see Fleetwood Mac with Christine. I'll have to wait for the next life now. I did see them in 2005 without her, but as it was her songs on 87's Tango in the Night that got me hooked on Fleetwood Mac when I was 12, I really wanted to see the full band. I was a McVie fan before I was a Nicks fan. I've been listening to Fleetwood Mac and Christine's solo work today.

Besides all the songs named above, as an 80s kid I remember her solo single "Got a Hold on Me" being on the radio
