This baseball player would have been 100 on Septemeber 5. I thought his passing was worth noting.

Well noted...he was also listed as the current oldest living former MLB player. Now the oldest former player is Val Heim, who is currently 98 years, 296 days old (according to Wikipedia). Val was an outfielder who played 13 games for the White Sox in 1942 hitting .200 but driving in 7 runs. His career was halted by WW 2, allthough he played minor legue ball after the war. Baseball has so many unique player stories.

Great longevity on these former players. would have loved to share a beer or two with them to hear some of their stories.
