Does anybody have any ideas of where i can find a bookshelf that is strong enough to hold 6 3 ring binders, but also reasonably small, because of space constraints? I'd like to put my card collection on a bookshelf. The binders are heavy. Space and sturdiness, to hold the binders, is my biggest concerns. Any recommendations would appreciated. Thank you.

I would say, keep an eye on your local thrift stores.....
Better chance of finding one made of wood, that is strong enough....
Most everything new, is made of pressed board and not very sturdy....
There's always the option of building one yourself, get the size and strength
you think you need....

I've been using Billy bookcases from IKEA for years with no issues.

I've been using the cube shelves they sell at IKEA, at the moment, a 3x3, they fit 4 binders per cube nicely and are very sturdy. They have different sizes so you could find a smaller one. I have 20 binders on mine so far.

Same here. It's the best fit, not expensive, easy to put together.

If there's a local bed bath beyond going closing, they have 3, 6 and 9 cube organuzers starting at 30 up to 110, basic bookcases are 50...keep in mind it's 30% off that. I like the organizer cube I bought since you can stand it up or lay it down dependent on space...I got a couple of bins to keep supplies in.

I swear by Ikea's Kallax shelves, for trading card binders, graphic novels, and vinyl records. Available in 2x2, 2x4, and 4x4 sizes.
Each individual cube is also just the right width for 3200-count card boxes.

I don't have specifics on this now, but a few years ago, I bought a metal wire 3-level bookshelf at Target for $15. I have 5 binders on it now (mostly 3 to 4 inch binders) without even using the top shelf yet. It is small in overall size (23" wide - left to right, 13" deep - front to back, 30 inches tall without anything on the top shelf). It's sturdy, works great, and is also stackable if you want more than one of them. I wish I could give you more info on it b/c it is perfect for the small area outside my bedroom door that I wanted to use for card storage.

I made my own by repurposing the small closet in the small bedroom we use as an office. I was able to fit 5 shelves and space on the floor for 2 5000 boxes across and 5 high. It is deep enough that I can go 2 deep on the binders. Made the shelves with wood and the supports as well. I wish these posts allowed for the direct upload of a photo so I could show you.
